Compliance Supervisor

We are currently recruiting within our Compliance team. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct support, guidance and advice to the business on Compliance matters including FCA, Data Protection and Money Laundering Regulations as well as supporting regulatory change projects and new business initiatives

  • Work with process and process owners across the business to ensure that Group policies are reviewed and update as required, assisting with the implementation of regulatory change projects and other compliance activities when required

  • Provide practical interpretation and application of company and regulatory policy to resolve issues raised

  • Provide the business with effective and robust advice suitability checks on all areas of the advice process including advice file checks and focused file audits

  • To influence and assist all areas to establish and maintain appropriate standards of business practice consistent with company and regulatory requirements.

  • To build effective, supportive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and develop the company and regulatory culture.

  • To promote a positive and proactive approach to embedding 'best practice' and with it a forward-looking compliance culture.

  • To assist in evaluating employee performance and identifying training needs.

  • Design and develop reports for forums, committees and board to ensure consistent high quality compliance reporting and MI

  • Assist with the approval process for marketing materials, financial promotions and technical documentation

  • Take responsibility for designing, producing and managing compliance processes including assisting other areas of the business with their own process requirements.

To be considered for this role you must have the following requirements:

  • Level 4 diploma qualified is essential preferably achieved or working towards Chartered Status.

  • Excellent knowledge of UK regulatory framework.

  • Substantial experience within Financial Services, within a regulated environment, in a similar pro-active role.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker, with excellent organisational skills alongside a best customer outcomes mind set

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to drive change

Job Description + Person Specification

Senior Paraplanner

We seek to employ a Senior Paraplanner who will be based at Upton House in Cromer (with some remote working). The successful applicant will be working alongside an established team.


Remuneration and other benefits are competitive.

Duties:

  • Review of fact find documentation to ensure sufficient information is obtained to ‘know the client’

  • Analysis of product and investment information to fully understand the various product and portfolio/funds used

  • Preparation of comprehensive recommendation reports

  • Preparation of comprehensive financial plans / cash flow forecasts / discussion documents for holistic planning activities

  • Adherence to the Hoyl Advice Standards for delivery of suitable advice and acting as a first line of defence for unsuitable outcomes

  • Having active discussions with firm advisers to maintain the standards of advice and help set client expectations

  • Ensure new business is seen through to completion and are in line with standardised administrative and compliance procedures.

  • Providing client contact and updating clients on progress as required

  • Maintaining accurate CPD. Keeping up to date with product and legislative changes

  • Adhering to internal policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulation

  • Working to defined service level agreements for the completion of work to ensure advice is provided to clients in a timely manner.

  • To ensure client records are kept updated and advice files support the provision of suitable advice using electronic systems.

Adviser Support Administrator

We seek to employ an Adviser Support Administrator who will be based at Upton House in Cromer. The successful applicant will be working alongside an established team who support our Financial Advisers.

  • Data gathering. Preparation of documents for financial planning meetings

  • Ensure client records are updated on our back office system (Intelliflo).

  • Report writing and obtaining Pension projections

  • Preparing cases for Paraplanning to complete more complex reports.

  • Performing calculations

  • Providers – obtain fund values/policy info on line or through phone calls.

  • Provider platforms – log on to process applications and track progress

  • Preparation of comprehensive financial plan / cash flow forecasts

  • New business submissions - ensuring new business is recorded correctly on our back office system in line with company and compliance procedures.

  • Completing internal check sheets as necessary.

  • Reviews – complete reviews following company procedures in a timely manner.

  • Keeping up to date with product and legislative changes

  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulation

  • Communicate with clients in a precise and polite manner

  • Prioritise own tasks and monitor personal and team diaries.

  • Preparation of compliance binders

  • Arrange appointments for advisers

  • To present a professional and positive image on behalf of the company at all times

  • To attend training sessions as and when instructed

  • To observe and comply with Health & Safety and company policies.
