Adrian has worked in financial services since 2002, which includes working as an Independent Financial Adviser and working for Santander as a Financial Planning Manager.

He joined Hoyl as an Independent Financial Adviser in November 2012.

He has experience of advising on all types of investments and pensions, including Auto-Enrolment qualifying pension schemes, as well as mortgages, Equity Release and Lifetime mortgages.

Andrew gained his experience as a Financial Adviser by working for the major high street banks Lloyds TSB, Barclays and Santander, before joining Hoyl in 2016.

Andrew is able to provide whole of market independent advice in the areas of: Retirement Planning, Auto-Enrolment qualifying pension schemes, Investments and Protection.

I’ve worked in financial services since 2020, during which I’ve spent time in every area of Hoyl working alongside our most experienced advisers as I successfully completed my Diploma in Financial Advice. This has helped me gain valuable experience in delivering bespoke financial solutions for our clients while building trusted long-term relationships with them, also of course, and most importantly, our firm’s strong belief in ethical conduct.  

 

I currently provide independent whole of market advice in the areas of Retirement Planning, Investments and Protection.

I’m also a retained firefighter for Norfolk Fire Service, which is an unpredictable and rewarding role that shares many of the same values as being an Independent Financial Adviser - especially the satisfaction of providing a crucial service to our local community.   

I have worked in financial services since 2012, having held several roles with Yorkshire Building Society, including as a Mortgage Adviser.

I provide independent whole of market advice on retirement planning, investments and protection, and will take the time to fully understand your needs before recommending tailored financial solutions which work for you, both now and in the future. I always look to build long-term relationships with my clients, built on foundation of trust, open and honest conversations and Hoyl’s firm belief in robust ethical conduct.

When not in the office I enjoy the outdoors, my fitness and have also captained my local rugby team.

Mark has worked for the large corporate firms such as Aviva as well as other independent financial advice firms. His previous experience in paraplanning, will writing and estate planning has given him a good technical knowledge which he can use to benefit his customers. ​

During his career, Michael has worked in the City of London looking after High Net Worth Individuals including Sporting Celebrities, City Professionals and Entrepreneurs.  In 2008, Michael moved to Suffolk to start a family, and has worked for HSBC, St James’s Place and Brancaster House before joining Hoyl Independent Advisers in April 2019.

I have worked in financial services since 2017, gaining valuable experience as a Paraplanner while completing my Diploma in Financial Planning before then progressing to providing advice on investments, pensions, protection and estate planning, which I have been doing for several years now. My motivation is to provide an all-round approach to my clients financial planning needs, helping them achieve their goals and objectives while building a long lasting and trusted relationship. What’s more, I will always make sure my advice to you is set-out in a way which is clear and easy to understand, with none of the usual jargon you might expect.

 

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family, with football being a key component of our family life, supporting my son and Derby County. I’m a keen gardener and love to travel and experience the different cultures and sceneries the world has to offer.

I hold a diploma in regulated financial planning and provide whole of market independent advice in the areas of Pensions, Investments and Protection.

 

Outside of the office, I have a passion for football, skiing and rugby. I enjoy going on long country walks with my family dog and when time permits, travelling overseas and exploring new places.

I currently provide independent whole of market advice in the areas of Retirement Planning, Investments and Protection.

I’ve been at Hoyl since 2022, having previously gained extensive knowledge of the mortgage market while working for a building society, as I progressed towards becoming a Mortgage Adviser.

Once I had completed my Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) during the pandemic, I went on to gain my Certificate in Regulated Equity Release and Level 4 CeMAP, so you can be sure I’m well qualified and have both the knowledge and experience to help you with your mortgage needs.

 

I’m passionate about helping you find the mortgage that’s right and achieving your property goals. From 2000, Becky has worked in a mortgage brokerage, giving advice on all aspects of mortgage business in both the prime and sub-prime mortgage market.

They have all either achieved, or are working towards Chartered Status - the profession's gold standard for financial planners. This clearly demonstrates an individual who is experienced, highly qualified, and has the highest professional and ethical standards. Each Chartered Associate has completed a suite of professional qualifications, which are the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree. This also requires a commitment to continued professional development and adherence to an industry standard Code of Ethics.

Mick was involved in corporate mergers and acquisitions whilst with a major accountancy practice. He then spent several years in senior management positions within the petro-chemical industry culminating as Manager of the Corporate Services (Strategy) Department for Total in London.

His duties centred on merger and acquisition investigations / reporting, synergy evaluations, strategic sourcing, budget preparation and partner evaluations. As one of the business founders, Mick has been Managing Director of the Group since inception.

Paul has worked in the financial services sector since the late 1970’s, advising both individual and corporate clients in all areas of financial planning, including the specialist, complex areas of occupational pension transfers, long-term care, and equity release.

 

As well as being a Chartered Financial Planner, he is also a Master of Research (MRes) focused in Financial Planning and Services. One of the founder members of the business, Paul has been a Director of Companies within the Hoyl Group since 2004, and his responsibilities now include the strategic development of the quality and direction of financial planning and investment advice within the business, as well as merger and acquisition activities

Julian’s responsibilities include managing and mentoring our growing team of Financial and Mortgage Advisers.

 

Julian has considerable financial planning experience having worked in Financial Services for over 30 years including 13 years as a Financial Adviser in both the corporate and personal sectors. He is diploma Level 4 qualified and working towards achieving Chartered status.

Julian also works with the management team to help develop and deliver a clear vision and strategic direction for our Advisers, and his responsibilities also include senior level decision making for our day-to-day tactical, operational and development needs, helping to deliver strong results and business growth

Ken has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career as an adviser for some very well-known companies before progressing into a variety of management roles and then into Compliance in later years, working on a freelance basis for many large multi-national companies while continuing to have direct involvement in the provision of financial advice to clients as this has developed over the years. 
 
Ken joined Hoyl in a Compliance role in 2021. His main responsibilities involve Adviser Learning and Development, including arranging and delivering training to our advisers and coaching them on a one-to-one basis as needed. He also ensures our advisers are kept up-to-date with new products in the marketplace and developments within the financial services industry, while working with our marketing team to help promote the services we offer to potential clients.

As one of the business founders, Paul is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Group and staff comply with the rules and requirements of the FCA and other legal issues.

Dawn is responsible for the day-to-day running of Hoyl Independent Advisers and leads the commercial strategy for the business.

 

Dawn has considerable financial planning experience, having worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years, and has been awarded the prestigious title 'Chartered Associate'. She works with other members of the Management Team to develop the clear vision and strategic direction for all parts of the business, including support areas such as Administration, Paraplanning and IT, to make sure we’re always able to deliver an excellent client experience.

 

Her role also includes supporting acquisition growth strategies and ensuring the integration of people, processes and back-office capability to improve operational control and efficiency

Jo has over 30 years’ experience in financial services industry, having held roles in regional building societies, smaller financial services companies and national IFA networks. Jo has a thorough knowledge of our clients’ needs and expectations and is focussed on making sure we deliver a positive experience at every stage of their relationship with us.

Jo’s responsibilities include the management and delivery of our Training and Competency activities, making sure we comply with all regulatory needs while also working to review, develop and manage our training and competency scheme for our business and advisers, including the supervision of individual advisers.

Steven has worked in financial services for over 20 years, initially as a financial adviser before progressing to management roles in the banking sector covering various UK geographical locations. Steven has great experience in the development of individuals across both financial and mortgage adviser roles.

 

Steven joined Hoyl in early 2022. He is responsible for oversight of Create Financial Management, the mortgage teams across the group and mentoring and providing ongoing support to all colleagues as they develop through their personal development plans or our apprenticeship scheme.
